WebSphere Application Server Support for HashiCorp Vault usage

Our organization mandates the use of HashiCorp Vault to store and retrieve passwords.

For Applications hosted on WebSphere Application Server, there is no direct support to make use of HashiCorp Vault to store/retrieve database password as part of JDBC configuration.

We found that IBM Support the use of HashiCorp vault for InfoSphere MDM product; please refer KC for details

    Thank you for the suggestion. The requirement does have merit, and Brian Paskin has provided an example of how to do this here: https://github.com/bpaskin/WASLibertyScriptsAndStuff/tree/master/WASHashiCorpVaultPassword .
    Looking at this request with respect to our total backlog, and given the sample, we believe we are unlikely to deliver this any time in the foreseeable future. We are declining the request rather than leaving it in an uncommitted state for an extended period of time.
